Happy 4th of July

We had a wonderful 4th of July. First, the kids and I hit the beach to enjoy the beautiful weather. Then we headed to the Open Space to see Dad for a few minutes. The kids enjoyed helping him scan tickets in the Box Office. We had dinner with Colette and Bryan at the Blue Tractor, a family favorite if you haven't guessed. Since we braved the crowd for the air show the day before we decided to do our own backyard firework display. Nana and Papa joined us for the festivities. We roasted marshmallows for s'mores just before dusk and then enjoyed a wonderful show put on by my brother Adam. The kids also enjoyed spotting fireworks off in the distance. Camden was really impressed with fireworks and got really excited with each one he saw. It was a great day, but we must also remember the reason for the holiday and celebrate our independece. Thank you to all who have served our country to give us the freedoms we enjoy everyday.
