Joshua Matthew

My nephew finally decided to grace us with is presence today (he was 8 days late!). My brother Matt and sister-in-law Abbi had a precious little boy early this morning. His name is Joshua Matthew Ansorge. He was a BIG guy weighing in at 9 pounds 13 ounces and 21.5 inches long. He still seems small to me considering my baby is 24 pounds! Trevor and I got to hold the little guy, but the kids will have to wait to meet their cousin until they get home from the hospital as siblings are the only kids allowed on the maternity unit. They cannot wait!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter! The Easter bunny came to our house in the morning and the kids enjoyed an egg hunt. Even Carson got into it a little, although two eggs would have been enough for him. We headed to Trevor's aunt's house for lunch and to my aunt's house for dinner. It was a fun day with lots of good food and special time with family.

Road Trip

Earlier this month we headed down to Grand Rapids to celebrate a very special friend's birthday. Mikayla turned six years old dancing in the streets of heaven. Julie and James threw a wonderful birthday party for many of Mikayla's little friends at their home. They had an Easter egg hunt in their yard and the kids played on Mikayla's swing set. It was a nice reunion of old friends and the kids had a great time. It certainly was a bittersweet celebration. Of course a trip to Grand Rapids would not be complete without stopping at Chuck E. Cheese for lunch as well. The kids did great on the car ride with their DVD's for enteratinment.

Camden's First Dentist Appointment

Camden went to the dentist today for the first time. Lauren had filled him in on everything beforehand and he was super excited! Especially to get a new toothbrush. He did SO GOOD sitting in the chair and doing whatever they asked. He was in charge of the suction and loved that part. Best of all he has no cavities and got to sign the "No Cavity Club" sign in the office. He was so proud and he couldn't wait to tell his Daddy and Nana all about it!

Easter Eggs

We colored Easter eggs over the weekend. It was easiest to do while Carson was napping, so sadly he was not able to partake this year, but I'm sure he will love it next year! The kids colored designs on their eggs and did the dying all by themselves (well, for the most part). They turned out beautiful and they were so proud.
