Today we actually did not do Cherry Festival events. Shocker I know. My dad's side of the family gets together at my Uncle Gary's in Cadillac for a Fourth of July gathering. Most of the time we skip out on it, but this year I really wanted to go. We haven't made it to the beach yet this summer. I haven't been brave enough to take all three kids and the weather really hasn't been the best. But this weekend the weather has been awesome and I knew that I would have a lot of extra hands and eyes to help keep track of the kiddos even though Trevor was not able to make it. The kids had a blast playing in the water. Carson also enjoyed his first time in a lake. Lauren and Camden got to go tubing and on a boat ride too which was a major highlight. Then we came home to enjoy some fireworks that are put off over Long Lake. We are able to see them from our front yard so we had s'mores and enjoyed the show. The best part is we don't have to battle traffic and we can walk right in the house and go to bed! It was a fun and busy day even without doing Cherry Festival activities.
