Mackinac Island Run

Last weekend I had a girls weekend away from the kids on Mackinac Island. We went there to participate in an 8 mile run around the perimeter of the island. It rained on us Friday night and a little bit at the beginning of the race on Saturday, but it didn't stop us from having a great time. I managed to run the entire thing in 1:16:46. It was my farthest run to date and probably as far as I ever desire to run. It was a beautiful, scenic run with some spectacular views which helped keep me going. It's a race that I would like to do again next year.
